We ship from our Cape Town studio worldwide. International orders are sent via TUNL — our shipping partner — using FedEx International Priority, UPS Worldwide, or TUNL's own Economy service for the United States.

Customs & duties — important for international buyers: for most international destinations, your country's customs office may charge import VAT and duty when your parcel arrives. These are not collected at checkout. The carrier (FedEx, UPS, or DHL) will contact you directly to settle any charges before final delivery — typically a one-off email or SMS with a payment link. The exception is the United States (see below).

Customs & duties: TUNL Economy ships Delivered Duty Paid — all import handling is included in the shipping price, so no extra charges on delivery. Most fashion parcels also fall under the US$800 de minimis threshold and clear customs duty-free regardless.

Customs & VAT: UK import VAT (currently 20%) and any duties are calculated by HMRC on arrival and paid to the carrier before final delivery. You'll receive a one-off message from FedEx, UPS, or Royal Mail with the amount owed and a payment link.

Customs: Australia's AU$1,000 and New Zealand's NZ$1,000 de minimis thresholds mean most Tari parcels clear customs duty-free. Anything above those values: the carrier collects GST + duty on delivery.

Free international shipping
Orders over R3,500 ship internationally for free. The threshold is set to cover a typical 1kg fashion parcel across most routes — effectively, two or more pieces in one order.
Order cut-off & handling
Orders placed before 12:00 SAST (10:00 GMT) ship the same working day. Ready-to-wear pieces have a handling time of 2–3 working days. Made-to-order or custom pieces have a handling time of 5–10 working days, confirmed at order.
Tracking
Once your piece ships, you'll receive a confirmation email with a FedEx, UPS, or TUNL tracking link. Track your parcel from our Cape Town studio all the way to your door — visit our order tracking page for help finding your tracking number.
Insurance
All international parcels are insured up to R150,000 through TUNL. If a parcel is lost or damaged in transit, get in touch and we'll resolve it directly with the carrier on your behalf.
